Fredericton Came to Visit

Image
I am soooo motivated right now I  can hardly sit still....so bear with me.  I apologize right away....the biggest lie I tell myself is I don't need to write that down , I will remember it.....names have totally left me.  Those I recognize I will, of course tell you....however, I can tell you about the quilts and the projects....hey, I must be a quilter...lol... Anyway. this is a project done using hand dyed fabrics....no wonder , she got such beautiful shades. The lady on the rights is also called Gail....we had four of us in attendance.  This beautiful quilt  is done in batiks...soo gorgeous.  This lady is Kay....she's also a Newf and did my heart good to hear that home accent that only a  fellow Newf would recognize.  Valerie blew us away with her miniature. Those are teeny-tiny houses all around the outside  border and fire colours in the centre.  Amazing!!  Lois...on the right saw this at a retreat, rushed home and reproduced it...(I know, too many R's)

The view entering the room ...as you can see everyone is set up and busy sewing...  Ethel was working on her Bear's Tracks. Vivian had three projects she was working on...putting the rest of us to shame...  Judy was catching up on the BOM to make a quilt for her grand daughter.  Leigh had two projects on the go...both with machine applique and looking fabulous.  Patti amazed us with her fussy-cut Lighthouse quilt. Evelyn was putting together a sampler quilt. Here's Carolyn making sure her seams are pressed the correct way for her Anita's Arrows. An example of the fussy-cuts Patti was working on.  Diana came to visit for lunch along with Irene...I caught her mid-question.... As you can see the room was bright, well-lit , lots of plug-ins and even had a big screen tv.  That door at the end is to the library and to the washroom...so convenient.  Jean put together a ten-minute block quilt top.  Vivian finished one of her project
