A lot of pictures this time....we had no other meeting in February with storms hitting on our scheduled meeting days.  However, the Chinese Auction is always a favorite and here you can see all the goodies lined up for perusal...Margaret McNair was the big winner...had so much stuff she needed a truck to take it all home....  Vera started show and tell with this beautiful ....I call it a stained glass but I am sure there is another name for it. then she showed this beauty that had been quilted by Agathe...stunning. Vera did her block of the month as a table topper...her grandchildren love it. This is  kit she bought at a quilt show in Ottawa...a great example of putting together fabrics based on the colour wheel.  This is Ann's Chemo quilt pattern...one of the surprise envelope patterns...turned out great...nothing nicer than a scrap quilt, I say!  Marg made this comfort quilt.  and this chemo quilt  and then she did this wonderful applique and pieced qui

It was a small group that met this evening and Wendy blew us all away with how much she has accomplished.  Here is a quilt for Tyler who loves trucks and big machines....he's going to be a happy little boy.  This baby quilt is for another little boy....it has camo fabric on in but Wendy 'babied' it up a little with owls and trees...  A diaper bag holder.....with a cut little owl and the "camo" fabric..  she even made this portable changing pad that folds up and is easy to take along in some camo..... This is Beth's 15dollar quilt....from the Fabric Cupboard...makes a sweet quilt called "Blessings" This is Chris's version of the same quilt....same quilt yet so different...

We braved the frigid temperatures...we're such hardy souls...and here's our show and tell. Carolyn did her block of the month and we decided only one point is a little iffy...pretty darn good if you ask me...I challenge you to find it!  Janice is modelling this gorgeous shrug that Marilyn made for her daughter.. not only is the colour fabulous , the wool is silky soft. This log cabin in soft pastel shades was made by Marilyn...now she's looking to match some pillow cases to go with it.  The picture does not do justice to the wonderful blues and yellows ...so very French Provincial...,,made by Marilyn, one busy lady. A chemo quilt...again by Marilyn...colourful and bright..sure to lift someone's spirits. This is Carolyn's Chemo quilt.  very masculine and comfy..it has fleece on the back. This started out as a Chemo quilt but Janice made it a little bigger than necessary and decided she should keep this one and make another.  Can you blame her...
