October 22 program day

Our Evening ladies hard at work piecing their Drunkard's Path...

Here's the October program group making their iron tote/caddy...

A lovely lady celebrated her 95th birthday. Lovely Ellen Henderson is one of our most attentive and active members...always a smile and willingness to participate .
Judy made a wonderful apron and a batch of coasters....well done, Judy...
and another Judy is ready for Hallowe'en with her jack 'o lantern dishcloth and her ghosties

Isn't there something about 'great minds thinking alike'?....well, here's a sample...Muriel and Helen made the same pattern and they are both gorgeous.
Marilyn has been knitting up a storm...a great cowl and some texting mittens....
Debbie die this great window scene for her daughter's apartment which has a dearth of windows...good idea, Deb...make her one....
and just to make it official...Hallowe'en is on its way...
Susan is hiding behind her mug rugs...for the grand kids...lucky, grandma!

and here's a sweet baby blanket...wonder if it is for one of the twins that have been born in Susan's family...
Evelyn made one of the Iron totes...just needs to hand sew the binding...
and here's a wonderful signature quilt that was done for one of the founding members and ended up being sold at a yard sale....Evelyn rescued it.
Jean got her iron tote just about finished as well...

And to close out this post, here's Ellen with her birthday cake...the candle played "Happy Birthday" so we all sang along.  A great day and so nice to share it with a lovely lady's birthday celebration.  Good cake , too!!!

Show and Tell October 8/13

Those wonderfully prolific morning quilters have done it again.  Here's the latest nine patch , all hand quilted and ready to be bound.  Thanks to Evelyn for volunteering to take on that task.
This is Carol's latest masterpiece...a beautiful batik quilt.  Such gorgeous fabrics
Susan is getting ready for Christmas....no flies on her...a wonderful door topper....
and here's a wintery window scene.  Good job, Susan...
Renate just keeps on amazing us.  Show her or maybe just tell her about a technique and away she goes. Here's another of her beautiful quilts and she's been dealing with a shoulder surgery.  We can call her Wonder Woman!!
Helen lucked in with her candle mat and found the candle to match AFTER she had made the mat.  Talk about lucky..
Madeline made a wonderful I spy quilt in the Attic Window technique and filled the windows with activities shared by her grandson and husband. What a heartwarming heirloom.  Well done, Madeline.
Kay brought her "Tom"  all quilted and ready for Thanksgiving. It will look great on her table.  Those brown bag challenges have been down right awesome.   It will be interesting to see the next batch come the spring of 2014...did you sign up?? not too late.
