Bea has been busy...here are some pillowcases she made with gorgeous flowered fabric.,,,
and a sweet table runner, all Christmas-y and bright..
Ever practical, Leigh used this left over strip of Celtic work she had done for something else and turned it into a wall hanging.
Now this was interesting, she brought in the fabric she used in her folded fabric candle mat to show just how unique it would turn out with different aspects of the fabric.
This is another folded technique...just a little different with a curve instead of straight sides..love the leafy look of it.
Judith made his and hers pillowcases.
and showed her block of the month squares..the first in the row by row quilt.
Sandra has been doing some needle felting and brought in this little chick-a-dee for us to admire...so cute and life like.
Marlene is hiding behind this bright and cheerful chemo quit she made.
Here's Marilyn with two stockings made for friends for Christmas...wonder if they plan to fill them up?
and here is another bright and cheerful chemo quilt that Marilyn made and the SVQG quilters quilted for her.
She's getting ready for a craft sale and showed us the mug rugs she made...along with
stacks of Christmas placemats.
Muriel has been indulging her inner child but using the excuse these great tree ornaments are for her grand children. Either way, they are darn cute!
Along with Grandma Vera making a pillow case for a special grand son.
A place for like minded quilters to gather and share ideas, techniques and projects.

we are finishing up our Magic Eight technique and here is Janice's. She chose two colours that fit her home decor. Almost done , only a little more quilting and binding and it will be displayed in her home.
Ruth brought her Christmas coloured theme along to get suggestions on how to organize. Love the directional fabric...she is a brave girl to use them...I always get them turned the wrong way.
Renata...ever keen.....rushed ahead and worked on next months project...said she has to do more...this one is certainly gorgeous...modern , comfy(fleece on the back) and a little masculine ,too.
Chris got her Roaring Waves all put together....love how the waves pop right out at you. Now, Chris get quilting..momma said!

October Meetings 2016
Monday evening and Wendy puts us all to shame with how prolific she is. Here she is modelling the rainbow shawl she made for her DH .....
and it is reversible. Well done Wendy!
This is her roaring waves...the project for September...Hers is all ready to be quilted. She made great colour choices as they really pop and show the waves the way they should be.
This is Marilyn's Magic Eight project...the October project...how to make eight half square triangles in one go. Can make a quilt or a table runner or whatever you want ...a fast and easy way to make HST's.
The nimble fingers of the morning quilters finished this Chemo quilt in the morning. This one belongs to Marilyn and she will finish the binding...isn't it bright and cheerful?
Ethel got the fabric for this nine patch a while ago and in between her road running and other projects she finished this comfort quilt top and even got the binding prepared...now the ladies will hand quilt it.
This sweet quilt is for a grand daughter that showed amazing patience for it to be finished. Grammy took it off her bed to bring it to show and tell and we're glad she did.
Ethel has been communicating with a pen pal for a long time and she gets these amazing gifts from her. This sweet quilt is an homage to friendship.
Jacqui made some more folded wreaths...these are a commission for someone that wanted a fall theme. Wonder just how many of these she has made.
Vera has a grand son in Red Deer Alberta that will be getting this hockey quilt..the border fabric even has hockey pucks. Definitely a boy's quilt....
Just look at this, star points perfect on a table topper and two place mats...this lady is 99 years old and just like the energizer bunny she keep on going. Amazing!
Judith is teaching some friends to quilt and this is one of the techniques she taught...quick and easy and an encouragement to continue...
Joan downloaded a pattern for layer cakes and enjoyed making this quilt...sure is pretty.
This is Renate's version of the roaring waves..it is backed with fuzzy fleece...warm and cozy for certain.
Muriel is still Smitten with Mittens and used the fabric that looked like knitting for her mittens this time. Works for me.
