Today was a very special day
and it seemed only appropriate that we celebrate with a very special lady.

100 years young, Vivian Patriquen has been a member in good standing for many  years and not only a delight to know she is an amazing quilter.

Here she is , sitting in a place of honor in front of two or her quilts.  There were many more displayed with each and every piece exquisitely made.  She is such an inspiration for us all.
These were the centerpieces that Jacqui J, our president made and so fitting.
Next to Vivian is Ellen Henderson, who is a youngster of 98.....both of them looking so very fine.
Sandra started out show and tell with her Quilter's Connection  150th Canadian anniversary table runner.

This lovely quilt is the second one Elsie has made...she took a class at the Quiltery with Beth Rasmussen.
Judy has been hooking up a storm..I believe it is for a function that is upcoming with the Sussex Hookers group she belongs to.
Evelyn made this sweet Cuddle quilt to go to JOyce's Stash.
Judy Hughes is finishing up a PHD and if ;you look closely you will see the wonder clips on the edge as she was finishing up her binding today.
Behind this sweet quilt is Jean Thompson...it is a cuddle quilt.
along with this cutie...some Scotties for the cuddle quilt stash.
Susan made a cuddle quilt too
along with this sweet quilt for the cuddle quilts.
Then she showed us her progress on her Penquin quilt..pattern by Sindy Rodenmeir of Fat Cat Patterns
Marg found some panels in her stash and got busy quilting to add to the cuddle quilts. Once the word goes out about the need, the SVQG responds quickly.
Marg is also cleaning up her fabric stash and made this scrappy sixteen patch. Sure do love scrappy's.
Marg Stevens, a former member came to help us celebrate and brought this gorgeous quilt to show. the bag that Gail R is holding up is the carryall made from scraps.  Clever idea from a clever lady.  Sure was good to see the Bloomfield girls...we miss them.

Last but not least, Jacqui showed us her "peek-a-boo" quilt...so cute.

You can see more of Vivian's work on the right of Jacqui's show and tell.  More proof that Vivian is a prolific quilter.  It was a wonderful luncheon and a delight to be able to celebrate her 100th with her.  Just want you to know on my 100th, I would like a party  too.....just sayin'.

Janice got her paper pieced 150th Logo done...in her colours.  She tells us she had to 'fudge' it to make it fit properly.
Marion said she had to do the same ....she told us she blessed it many times before she made it work. I guess you could say mine has been blessed as well but it is sitting in pieces on one of my tables and I think it just might stay there.
Linda has been busy...can't remember the name of this pattern but it sure works well in those colours.
This rail fence is a chemo quilt with fleece on the back. It is soooo very cosy and comfy!
This beauty is Roaring Waves , again in Linda's colours. The pattern really pops.
Wendy is back and here is a quilt she made..same pattern which shall remain nameless. She's not sure if she likes it...out of her colour comfort zone....I think it is gorgeous.
She beat me as the "bag lady" with this zip it purse.  She said it took about an hour and a half to make. Lots of pockets and lots of room.
Marilyn took apart one bag and made it into another ....works for me.
Then she made this cute little wallet size bag. Almost like the Bionic bag without the zippers.
This beauty is one of those sew together, cut up and then sew again and it is all done in beautiful batiks...next one in shades of brown and beige.  A fascinating design!
