For the second meeting of the New year,
Marilyn began Show and Tell with this Log Cabin
table runner.  Love the colours!

Just  to show you we had a capacity crowd ......

Marion brought this really neat bag she made to show us.  Her daughter-in-law...THE real bag lady...Wendy showed her how.
Not that she needed much showing when you consider she made this paper pieced table runner and it is definitely an experienced only project.
She showed these sweet little snowman wall hangings...notice the hand knit scarf....if all else fails, make the needed parts.
Beth has a baby coming into her life....no, no.....not hers!....but this makes an adorable quilt for  a little one.  Can grow some with it too.
She sure loves this retirement thing....she's catching up on all her UFO's. Including this table runner...with the Jacobean fabric...divine!
Treva says this beauty is going to a cottage. The picture does not do it justice...it is beautiful...well done, Treva!

Canada 150....it will be travelling to the UK with Jo-Anne and her daughter. They will be attending a wedding and this quilt is the wedding gift. What a great job she did!

Here's Marj starting the New year off with this wonderful cuddle quilt she quilted. JOyce thought she would put it in the shop at the hospital to help raise funds.
Kay has grand babies galore and made this sweet quilt for one of them. She called it the Turtle Square.
She also made this crazy quilt stocking for one of her grand babies. Such a sweet heirloom.
Vera needed a hanging for her "measuring" wall and this skinny snowman fit the bill.
Susan's hubby is a fishing enthusiast and helped determine the correct colours for the fishing lures on the quilt that she made for him.  One must be accurate in depicting fishing lures!
Susan also won the Christmas fat quarters and used them to make this Yuletide Dresden plate table runner.

Spring is Coming (just ask the snowman)
This lovely curtain pattern is available with help to put it together by Susan.
Jacqui got into the pillow mode and made this great Autumn pillow......
 and this Christmas pillow....
and this Christmas pillow....from pictures, no less. Great Job!
Judith made her paper pieced tree...
cut apart some Christmas towels and crocheted handles for them....

then made some hot pads. She was busy!
Ethel...great to see her back....made lots of placemats for Christmas....
some sweet quilted bibs.....
but this was the most interesting of all. She started a Quilt journal. This quilt was started in 2010....and got finished this year...she gave it to Joyce to add to the cuddle quilt program.

That was our first meeting for 2018...as you can see we are a prolific lot...we will have more as the year goes along.

Happy New Year 2018

It's back to the daily grind or should I say evening grind.  Here's Dianne's  Christmas tree mini...isn't it sweet.
Jeannie made this snowman table runner with an added surprise...it will be corrected when she gets home and finds a way to take out the button on the inside .
Caroline made the skinny snowman and "birthed" it rather than add a border and binding...clever girl.
Then she showed us this so masculine, made with batiks quilt she did for her son...lucky guy!
JoAnne is working on her Canada 150 celebration quilt.  Love the fabrics she put together...not finished yet.
Linda got bag happy and made this one for her daughter...has a snap!
But this one has a zipper that Linda put in ...all by herself...with no help from anyone. See, we told you, you could do it!
She had some trouble with her machine and ended up quilting this quilt to work out the kinks. She calls it ugly...we disagree.
Now this beauty was made at the last minute because some one was supposed to go out and didn't...so , Christmas eve it got done...it matches Dear Husband's truck...concidence?...I think not. Anyway...he is one happy trucker.
Marilyn is always doing something!...this is one of those pillows that every hand piecer should have...next meeting the ladies are going to make one. I use mine constantly...I cheated and bought one that Leigh Smith made and I am sooo glad I did.
In between sewing Marilyn knit this gorgeous cowl..soft and warm at the same time.  Easy peasy was what she said it was , to do.
This gorgeous log cabin  is amazingly more beautiful than the picture shows. The colours are so much more vivid. Makes the other ladies want to get theirs finished.

We're off to a great start for the new year. Should be a great time.
