 Annual Meeting, Lunch, Show and Tell

Annual meeting took place at All Seasons Inn & Restaurant



Show & Tell

Marlene O made a very pretty blue Star quilt from scraps.






Joanne G showed us her Peek-a-Boo document bag and the Brick quilt she made at the suggestion of the late Marilyn W.




Debbie F created Easy Squared Coasters





Janice H brought in her lovely seasonal project, Deck the Halls.







Joanne H has made a Mondo Bag, a Monday night project. She has completed a brick quilt,  quilting credit given to  Gail F who quilted feathers on the white fabric.



Jackie J had a Beach Bag with her. Her Turtle quilt is from a pattern she got at Spruce it Up. Much positive reaction was received to the Ebony and Ivory project that was made using bias tape.





Besides having created a beautiful Portrait wall hanging, Judy S was showcasing the fact that a hanging sleeve can be created using a special binding technique.





Dianne G made a project from the 2 1/2 inch square exchange at the Villa Retreat. Her next creation is a vibrant Blue Onion small quilt.





Loretta D completed the Mondo Bag, a Monday night project. her green quilt creation is Movement in Squares.




Sharon R passed in more small ornaments to be used at the Quilt Show. She makes the Wee Trees out of leftover sock yarn.






Jane K presented her 4 Patch Kaleidoscope Table Topper with a brief explanation on the technique.




Judy H displayed a black and white Pinwheel Quilt.




Leigh S made a bible study Bag for a friend, She created a stunning President's challenge project., a lined Bargello Jacket.




Susan D embellished her rope bowls creatively. The crochet project has a quilt-like appearance. Fabric from Atlantic Fabrics was used for the Butterfly Terrace quilt. The Floral quilt was made from estate sale fabric, $10 for all the fabric for the top and the backing is a Giant tiger sheet. very thrifty. Credit was given to Agathe for the quilting.





Dianne B is donating Tea Bag Pouch Tags for the Quilt show. she also has a Log Cabin variation and a Landscape small quilt created from a Guild Library Book.



Cathy K made a purse that certainly attracted attention, even requests that she  teach a class. She also had baskets for her sewing room. These were made with two fat quarters each.





Ethel R displayed blue and yellow Buttermilk Creek fabric and has a pattern in mind for the next Guild Quilt.




Renate B created an impressively large Metro Rings quilt




Pat B showed her Villa Retreat project made with floral fabric. She was very appreciative of the help she received from Susan S.





Susan S made a Broken Dresden quilt in pastels. She picked out the pattern from a binder that had belonged to the late Marilyn W.



Our Bus Trip June 8, 2024

 

Guild Members, Friends and Guests embarked on a fun shopping day by bus. Thanks to Muriel G. for arranging everything.
