 March 25, 2025 A workday sewing items for donattion


Numerous members and one guest arrived, including hand quilters , fabric cutters, sewists and stuffers.
Ethel R, Susan S and Jane K prepared in advance and shared some kits for Charity/Donation Sewing Day. 
The tally shows how successful it was and how generous our members are

Susan S displayed a lap quilt made specically for wheelchair use. If a need is identified it is a possible donation item

March 11, 2025 Show and Tell

 

The regular buisiness meeting was held March 11, 2025


During the meeting a pieced quilt top was showcased. 
This was made by Evelyn C, passed along to Evelyn K and then donated to the Guild. Gail R made significant modifications to numerous blocks and it was the decision of the membership that Gail was to be the owner of  the quilt top.

Show and Tell followed the meeting with Judy H assisting


Jane K fulfilled a request for bags that attach to the crossbar of a walker (mobility device), She is donating these to the Jordan life Care Center.



Susan S has made a Heart Motif Penny Rug in wool. She is very passionate about wool applique


Dawn P made and quilted a Checkerboard Dresden Plate quilt. Measurements 90 X 103




Sharon R completed a baby quilt from yardage of the cheater quilt style.





Cathy K completed two pretty wall hangings. Heart Motif and Spring Floral






This impressive small quilt was made by Ethel R. A great job on the pencils.


Brenda S presented her Spools of Thread wall hanging created from a kit she received as a Christmas gift. Lori Holt/ Riley Blake design


Brenda then showed us a Tablecloth for Mom. This project has a green Floral Motif and concentrated quilting




Bea O made quilted pot holders, she thought they were too big but they look just right


Jackie S extened the use time of her Reversible Apron, one side is fall themed fabric, and the other side Christmas





Renata B made a lot of Paper Pieced blocks for this colourful, large scrappy quilt





Muriel G made a change purse and then decided it was too large and she needed a smaller one. She thought it was a more appropriate size for the money she needed to store


Jackie J's small quilt is Victoria Garden and is made from fat quarters. We all admired the bags she made for carrying her projects



This stunning Bargello quilt is also Jackie's creation. Even the backing is eye catching







Judy H has completed her Dragonfly project from a Guild workshop, designed and taught by Brenda Dunsmore


Judy has her May and June projects completed for her year long wall hanging project that will be gifted
May Flowers was first, then June's Butterflies and Flowers theme


Judy's sheep themed small project is Bless Ewe from the Tidings Art to Heart book


Trade Blocks were set out for registered participans to pick up one from each stack
