May 8th meeting.

I thought you might like to see a close up of the quilt currently in the frame.  It's a quilt, made by Mary Lawson, called Hopscotch and in the background the ladies are quilting a 'jumping jack'.  It's such a pretty quilt, I'd wager it would be a great raffle quilt. Very striking and fun to look at...just like all scrappy's.
Bea was quite tickled with her organizer. It has pockets and is wrapped around a mug....sits next to your sewing machine and is a great holder.  Plus this one has the neatest fabric.
Aha!!!  someone picked up my camera when I wasn't looking and snapped a picture of my tablecloth made with the coffee filter technique (posted on my blog...http://quilterwoman.blogspot.com    as a tutorial)...I'm hiding back there somewhere.
Pat Bell finished a cuddle quilt and brought it in for show and tell.  Always a need for cuddles.
Mary Lawson made another really interesting quilt. Colours here do not do it justice.  A charming single bed size quilt or a large cuddle quilt.  I'd cuddle under it any day.
Ethel Raymond went to  the Villa Madonna retreat and had a wonderful sew happy time.  This is the result and again the camera does not do justice. Such gorgeous colours and the applique is wonderful..well done, Ethel.
Leigh finds the neatest things. Here she is holding a purse with a few different pockets. Wonder if we can convince her to demonstrate on a programme day????
Here's a sweet baby quilt...simple blocks yet so effective.
As I said, Leigh finds the unusual...here is a thread catcher with a peppermint weight to lay beside your sewing machine.  If you didn't want to fill it with thread, you could always fill it with peppermints.
Sandra's words...sometimes a little late.  But as long as it is not 'never' we are ok with that.  She was 'hookin' and 'strippin' and finished up her two projects.  Love that snowman!
Vera made a couple of pot holders for a friend's birthday.  Really interesting fabric...has candies on it.
Lillian Kyle took home a project from our cuddle quilt sew day and finished it at home. Here it is for show and tell and to add to the stockpile.
Jean Thompson made a beautiful star table runner. Always does good work, our Jean.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Ce said she was making necklaces and bracelets from wool...sock wool is what I heard. so innovative.
Vivian Hayward , emcee for the show and tell, saver hers for last...It certainly was not least. This is from the $15.00 quilt at the Fabric Cupboard.  She added her own fabric to the batiks...gorgeous colours, so pretty.
