Here are the stitchers working their little hearts out to get our gorgeous guild quilt ready for display at our quilt show this fall. Gonna be a beauty...again!!
Our wonderful guest , Lois Mehan from Frederiton City Quilt Guild, gave us numerous tips and tricks to make our sewing experiences go much smoother and quicker. She is a font of information...our personal data bank when it comes to quick and easy ways to do things.
That's Susan Snyder peeking above one of the panels she appliqued for her wall hanging "love Blooms here" found in the Quiltmaker magazine.
Her sheep.......
and the final panel. Going to look great in the quilt show because I just know she will have it all finished for then...right, Susan???
Helen went to the Gathering of the Guilds and got herself a 'squedge' and this is the table topper she made using the 'different' ruler.
She also made this baby quilt for a young mother in need. Good person, that Helen!!
Marilyn stepped out of her personal colour zone and made this light, airy , summer type quilt...a modern one using layer cakes and half square triangle. Works for me!
That's Joan West hiding behind a quilt she made for her son...Marj helped hold it up for us to see. Well done, Joan!
Joyce plugged away and got her block of the month done....we're not saying how long ago that it was started but let's just say that was a while coming and we're glad of it. Going to be a star in our quilt show.
Our snow bird Sandra is back , not only from down south but also from down north in Newfoundland and this is a bag her friend made for her.
Sandra also had some fun with fabric and did some creative art work for her kitchen. Bright and festive, Sandra!
Vera celebrated a birthday this month and this is what her sister, Ann made for her. An iron caddy tote and to top it off she stuffed it with home made cookies. Lucky Vera.
Ethel is never idle and here's a whole bunch of placemats she made in between all the road running she's had to do. Very active lady.
