despite all the storms this past month or perhaps because of all the storms, we managed to get a lot of PHD's finished. Here is a wonderful heirloom quilt for a young lady who is graduating this year...all her sport and memory t shirts made into a wonder quilt by Jeannie Ewart. Great job!
Beth took this panel and practised her free motion quilting. We all decided she should have saved it for the interrupted panel technique we're doing next month...it is gorgeous now though.
This beauty was from the quilt project at the Fabric Cupboard...turned out really great. It belongs to Beth
This one also belongs to Beth and is a project in the making...she has some more squares to add to it...the fabric came from a square dancing friend.
Marion's quilt is called Love the Fabric and we can certainly understand why...what a wonderful showcase for fabric that you just had to add to your stash.
A lot of memories here...not only of things truly Newfie but of colouring with her Mom. Marion drew the pictures and she and her Mom coloured them. They grace a wonderful table cloth with Newfoundland tartan edging the squares.
Ruth is hiding behind her primitive pattern of sheep in the field. Great job, excellent quilting and piecing.
These are king of cute! Marion told us they were her "hangovers"...not the drinking kind ...the placemat kind....very unique and I bet they would be fun to make.
Marilyn went out of her comfort zone for colour and went into earth tones in this double Irish chain...going to Agathe tomorrow for quilting.
A place for like minded quilters to gather and share ideas, techniques and projects.
