 First meeting of the 2024-2025 Quilt Guild Season held September 10, 2024

Cyntha V's work of art was chosen by the membership in the Name Tag Challenge.





Show and Tell

Photos from Monday night were submitted.

Beth A. is wearing an apron. Second photo shows her holding a Mondo Bag.







Gail F. showed a completed quilt.



Lauretta D. is presenting 2 projects.







Tuesday show and tell began with Vera T. showing her quilt.



Susan D. brought in 2 panel quilts she had completed.


This one has twister blocks on the side.



Patty E. completed a President's challenge project despite water disasters 





Muriel G. made a fun Flip Flop quilt.



Diane B. has a lovely tweed handbag.



Cathy K. has made a wintery small quilt



Bea O. showed the quilt she completed.




Ethel R. was moving fast while showing her quilt tops.
Two quilt tops to be backed with sheets to enclose old quilts and be donated to Outflow Men's Shelter. WI will be tying them.




Ethel also made a quilt for her grandson.


Beth A. made  drain bags for donation, shown by Judy H.

The pattern for Camp Camden, a design by Reed Johnson was published in Quiltmaker Magazine #200
The wallhanging was inspired by memories of summer camping at Lakeside Campground on Grand Lake NB


Susan's wall hanging/ table topper was suggested at Villa Retreat 2024 as a practice piece for back basting applique technique. She used a layer cake of batiks which were purchased at the Chinese Auction at Villa. Pattern original design Sindy Rodenmayer 2001

  Annual Meeting, Lunch, Show and Tell Annual meeting took place at All Seasons Inn & Restaurant Show & Tell Marlene O made a very pretty blue Star quilt from scraps. Joanne G showed us her Peek-a-Boo document bag  and the Brick quilt she made at the suggestion of the late Marilyn W. Debbie F created Easy Squared Coasters Janice H brought in her lovely seasonal project, Deck the Halls. Joanne H has made a Mondo Bag, a Monday night project. She has completed a brick quilt,  quilting credit given to  Gail F who quilted feathers on the white fabric. Jackie J had a Beach Bag with her. Her Turtle quilt is from a pattern she got at Spruce it Up. Much positive reaction was received to the Ebony and Ivory project that was made using bias tape. Besides having created a beautiful Portrait wall hanging, Judy S was showcasing the fact that a hanging sleeve can be created using a special binding technique. December 5, 2023 Lunch at All Seasons Inn and Restaurant

  Guild members and a guest enjoyed their time chatting, having lunch and viewing Show and Tell Show and Tell Kelly D  made a backpack. Joanne H  brought her black and white creation and her Mondo Bag Next was Beth A  with a bag, placemats, mug rugs, oven mitts that are connected together  Linda B  was sewing with black and white too. She also has completed a  Mondo Bag Judy S  made these whimsical snowmen.  Judy H made a  Christmas Tree hanging   Marlene O  has made a gift for the Granddaughter of a neighbor Agathe K  created placemats that are perfect for the season Debbie F  has a stocking for her granddaughter to hang Jackie J  showed her folded tree napkins, hot pad and hanging towels which have a unique construction Joyce B 's seasonal wall hanging was constructed in 2004 Margaret M  has a snowman pillow to show Brenda S  received a charm pack and has turned it into this quilt that totally hid the maker Cathy K has a finished New York Beauty project.
