February 11, 2025 Show and Tell

 The regular buisiness meeting was held February 11, 2025


Barb F from Sussex Vale Women's Instutite presented the membership with information on the 2025 Food and Craft Fair to be held in August . Many categories were highlighted for quilts and other crafts. 







Jane K. assisted members with Show and Tell


A lovely quilt made by Joan S. was on display. The Brightly Quilt was made from Kansas Trouble fabrics.


The next item shown was the recently completed 9 Patch Quilt.  This was a guild project and was hand quilted by members.



Judy H brought along a few completed projects, Firstly was her Pillow Wrap, completed at home after the workshop taught by Diane B.


Judy is making monthly wall hangings and has March and April completed. These are designed by Judy. March is named Sap Season while April is April Showers bring......
Jusy's son and family will receive all 12 when completed.


Susan S has her  Folded Star Potholder finished. Workshop was by Cathy K

Susan had time to also learn the skills for the Pillow Wrap from the workshop given by Diane B the same day

Susan made 2 wall hangings featuring Skinny Snowmen.


Cynthia V made Sharon's Quilt from a Layer Cake. The corner blocks of the quilt as well as the label are beautifully hand embrodered



Jackie J used a panel and some additional blocks to make this small quilt.

Next up for Jackie was a stunning Bargello quilt for her new home. Blues, whites and beiges were all used.


Marlene O is using up stash fabric in her projects. Her pieced placemats are very nice

Next is a Lap quilt in the same blues and greens. Marlene created her own pattern for this..



Renata B has been busy with a scrappy project. She has made many blocks using instructions from You Tube and has many more to make


Muriel G used jeans to create a basket to hold Fat Quarters. Her second storage basket was made from 2 1/2 inch squares that were exchanged at Retreat.


Muriel showed us the Block of the Month squares that she has finished


Muriel is also working on the Trade blocks

Muriel's donation quilts are Precious Moments and Teddy Bear



Beth A took part in the Folded Star Workshop and showed her completed project.


Sharon R finished 2 potholders after participating in the workshop.


Dawn H finished a quilt from a class taught by Margaret Duff. Pattern is Just 12 Fat Quarters by Taralee Quiltery.


Dawn also brought a cute baby quilt done in  Rag Quilt technique


Debbie F has been working on Trade Blocks.

She also has a finished potholder from the Folded Star Potholder Workshop. She used Christmas greens for her project.


Debbie used a pattern from hellosewing.com to create a Chemo Cap from a cozy knit fabric.



Ethel R has a finished Table Runner. She admitted to the group that she received the kit 15 years ago  

Ethel's second runner was also from a kit, this one is called called Fuschia Fancy

Ethel made herself  a little pouch to hold her quilting needs.



Cathy K has done machine embroidery to complete this Valentine wall Hanging



Agathe K made a donation quilt from fabric left over from leftover fabric from a quilt project for her nephew, several years ago.


Agathe also used leftover fabric to make a baby quilt

This king size quilt will be making a trip to Hawaii to Agathe's daughter.
