SVQG monthly meeting October 14, 2025

Krista Chisholm, new owner of Crafters Vineyard, spoke to the group about the stock she is carrying, special requests for items and her plans going forward. 

Susan S presented the 2nd block, Pumpkin, for this years Block of the Month.

                                                           

Diane B presented the Trade Block along with a Demo on it's construction.

Gail F showed her Landscape  and quilt projects.

A guest showed a small quilt

Ethel R made four of the September Block of the Month blocks and created a cushion cover. For the outside border she added half square triangles using the Triangles on a Roll technique.

Ethel completed her Friendship Braid table runner as per instructions given by Diane B and Cathy K. She joined the binding as per Gail F's tutorial. The September Program Day was full of useful information.

Judy H did the first Block of the Month, Maple Leaf

Judy's Table Topper was made from squares she won in 2022 BOM. She used a label from Susan S

Judy used a pattern from Scrap Basket Quilts to make a Scraposaurus (dinosaur) for Jillian. The book is available in the guild library. It's a very cute creation.

Muriel G has a friend who raises Holstein cows. This cushion was made for her.

Patty E told us about her recent misadventure and showed us a sewing machine light strip that she thought worked very well.

Patty's quilt tops were made from the Town Square pattern from Easy Peasy 3 Yd Quilts by Fabric Cafe 2017

She will finish these when she returns home for the winter.

Debbie F has completed her Maple Leaf the first block of the Block of the Month

Debbie also brought in some Antique Quilt Patterns for us to browse. They were from Free Press Weekly and Star Weekly 1942-1960

Susan has also completed another fall and a Christmas themed project
