Quilt Show Vendor "Books For You"

The first Vendor has been booked for the Quilt Show. Books for You carries a large arrangements of Fibre Art books, Embroidery, quilting, lace, dyeing, so many techniques both traditional and contemporary. Carole is  very good at finding the most difficult books which I discovered a few years ago when I (who thinks myself at very good at finding books) couldn't get an out of print book and exhusted all the know venues , Carole was able to get it for me. She will be at the Sussex Vale Quilters' Guild Quilt Show & Sale Sept 20,21,22 2012 Sussex Legion. Email me for more information  Sweet Threads of Life

December 5, 2023 Lunch at All Seasons Inn and Restaurant

  Guild members and a guest enjoyed their time chatting, having lunch and viewing Show and Tell Show and Tell Kelly D  made a backpack. Joanne H  brought her black and white creation and her Mondo Bag Next was Beth A  with a bag, placemats, mug rugs, oven mitts that are connected together  Linda B  was sewing with black and white too. She also has completed a  Mondo Bag Judy S  made these whimsical snowmen.  Judy H made a  Christmas Tree hanging   Marlene O  has made a gift for the Granddaughter of a neighbor Agathe K  created placemats that are perfect for the season Debbie F  has a stocking for her granddaughter to hang Jackie J  showed her folded tree napkins, hot pad and hanging towels which have a unique construction Joyce B 's seasonal wall hanging was constructed in 2004 Margaret M  has a snowman pillow to show Brenda S  received a charm pack and has turned it into this quilt that totally hid the maker Cathy K has a finished New York Beauty project. Show and Tell February 13, 2024

  Show and Tell followed the monthly meeting. Jackie J. showed completed Attic Window projects, made from a panel . So nice to have matching throw pillows. Gail R. has been working on the panel she cut during the workshop. She plans to hang her Attic Window project on the wall of a room currently without a window. Ethel R. made pillowcases out of lovely cardinal fabric. She also presented a raw edge Hunter's Star project. Vera T. showed this sweet Valentine's project made in 2010. Brenda S. showed a quilt made from 2 1/2 inch strips, it was quilted on a longarm. The Rose quilt was made from a free pattern, Pixelated Rose by Riley Blake Design. she told us it is made up of 1194, 2 1/2 inch squares, and the quilting was 250,000 stitches. We also took notice of Brenda's bag made from sunflower fabric. Agathe K. brought along a lovely quilt with Fireside backing.
