Now that I figured out how to transfer pictures on my ipad to my computer you can have a look at what happened at the Villa Madonna this year. Here's Jean Thompson's table runner...the fabrics in this are wonderful...
Ethel decided she needed some insanity in her life and made this amazing table topper out of teen-tiny half square triangles.....she was still smiling after putting it together so I guess she's still with us...
Carolyn, Joy, JoAnne and Pat busy working away...
Marilyn got a few projects done and started a hand piecing one just for fun.
Bet you didn't know there was a wine party on the go. Here the girls are sampling the various wines that came along for the trip and the tasty dip the cooks made just for us. Talk about getting spoiled.
Marilyn cutting out her hickory nuts and Muriel walking by on her way to the library where she had her squares spread out.....you can see the black and white (and a little red) quilt below.
If you've never been...here's the dining room...the kitchen is the door at the back...the food is wonderful...home made, plentiful and very, very tasty. The staff is so accommodating...anything they can do to make your stay comfortable seems to be their role in life..
Oh a cup of tea......and home made cookies....now what more could you want.
Judy got this intricate half square triangles and specific colour placement quilt put together...I believe she said she had it waiting for finishing since he 90's....about time, girl!
Here's Ethel's Bear Tracks...we all fell in love with it...a great stash buster...how much you want to bet there will be a few more to look at before too long. Well, that was the Villa Madonna for 2015...not enough pictures taken since I got tangled up with a sudoku quilt...not sure I will ever finish that one but it was a great 4 days ...good friends, great fellowship, no cooking, no cleaning...and lots of sewing...a little wine , good food in a great atmosphere. Life is Good!!
