Our program this day was interesting demonstration on colour, the colour wheel and complimentary colours..how to arrange values and what will draw the eye. Brenda Dunsmore from the KV and the Akerly quilt guilds was the guest speaker. She gave us a small portion of her day class just to whet our appetite to learn more...perhaps a project day will be forthcoming....
Jackie got her crayon quilt done and used some of the fancy stitches on her new sewing machine....I think she had some fun that certainly paid off.
Jackie's sister is getting this microwave potato bag.......
and this casserole carrier...lucky woman!
Agathe has been scrap quilting..this beauty along with a second similar one has minke as the backing making them warm and comfy...they go to our Chemo Quilt project and will be fully appreciated.
Ethel is back and brought this wonderful little boy's quilt she made from a panel..you just know some little boy is going to love it.
Lilliane has been playing around with monkeys and can tell you exactly how many tails, legs and arms , and leaves and branches are on this quilt...she quilted it.
Judy is astounding us again with the neatest projects...here she displays another woven techninque....wonky and wonderful.
Leigh has a fascination with bargello and is having some fun with it...here is the bag she made.
and this one is kind of interesting...not sure what the title of it is....
I do know that this little beauty has folded fabric...the rainbow fabric is from one piece and maybe there was some fussy cutting involved. However it was done, it sure is pretty.
Mary Lawson got this wonderful log cabin finished...I believe she said it was an exchange either blocks or fabrics during a villa Madonna retreat....lots of pieces and sewing ....a real challenge.
Cynthia is into making bags both for a young girls group she works with and for her sister.
This charming cat quilt, I believe was a swap with her sister and has a story behind it, with some of the cats having special significance...such a wonderful keepsake..
