Monthly Meeting April 8, 2024

 




So nice to have Photos submitted by members who attend Monday Night 

Lauretta D. has a very colourful Mondo Bag to show.


This  beautiful Log Cabin was made by Dianne G.



And Linda B. made Oh My Stars in very vibrant purples




Show and Tell
Muriel G. assisted with our show and tell. Several items  were completed at home and brought in as donations.

Gail R. made an Anti Ouch Pouch for donation. She also told us about tickets available for a Mother's Day Tea in Norton.



Sharon R. made 8 rope coasters to donate to the quilt show for Viewers Choice.












The following members completed their Amish Bar Quilts that were featured at the last workshop/program day. These were made from kits that Ethel R. so generously prepared and donated. The completed quilts were passed in to Joyce. B.

Vera T. created a delightful baby quilt from a panel.
She brought along bingo quilt blocks.




Jane K. passed in some donation items as well. She made Anti Ouch Pouches, Drain Bag Covers and two bags to carry Comfort Quilts.






Jane also made two President's challenge projects, a baby quilt and a wool felt applique pillow










Judy H. used different yarn to crochet these two baskets. They are sturdier than her last ones.

Judy showed her Metro Rings Quilt and gave credit to Agathe K. for quilting it with an allover design in the center and custom quilting on each of the three borders.




Ethel R. made drain bag covers (no photo obtained)


Marlene O. stopped into Crafter's Vineyard on her way to the meeting and displayed this vibrant poppy panel that she purchased.

She named her quilt "Ugly Tie or Knot" Ann Snider, Bev Parlee and the Guild were all mentioned as the source of ties.
Marlene also had a large bag of Anti Ouch Pouches to donate, she made eleven of them.



Diane B. completed a President's Challenge project, inspiration for the background and applique was from two different patterns in the same book.



Cathy K. has a Log Cabin project completed



Marilyn T. used a pattern by Laura McCain. She passed around the instructions and asked for input on a construction problem she had.









Jackie J. made a lovely icicle quilt, which the members felt looked great in the opposite direction as well.






The use of black and white was the theme for Jackie.
This one is Ebony and Ivory and was a long term project.






A birthday was recognized by gifting Beth A. with a variety of fat quarters.





Ethel R. created a label for the Guild Quilt 



Trade Block Day

12 members participated in the trade block exchange organized by Diane B.









Demo

Cathy K. showed the membership the usage of Block Lok rulers. when interest in purchasing these she  commented on the location  where she sourced hers.


Hand Quilting

There is another quilt on the frames for hand quilting.
This time it is a 9 Patch Quilt
