This neat little thing is a door handle pocket...ideal for those odds and ends that need to go into specific rooms or just a place to store keys. She said they were easy to make...we shall see.....
This is another neat gadget she made....vinyl see through pockets , one with a zipper ....it folds over and is great for those little projects that don't require a lot of 'stuff' to make.
Hallowe'en is coming and Marilyn is ready with this table topper of fall and hallowe'en fabrics....a quick project she said with the half hexie ruler and a little ambition.
Cynthia made this bench pillow for Autumn....not only in fall colours but for the quilt show decorations...she'll do an amazing job....she does every time.
This too will be displayed in the decor for the quilt show.
This amazing piece is the memorium she did to honour her father who served in WW2. It, too will be displayed in our quilt show.
There was a little grumble about the lack of fall quilts for the decor...seems that no one had any so Cynthia fixed that little problem and made this one to display.
A quilt made for her grand daughter with some left over for her to make one for herself....makes sense to me.
This sweet quilt was made by our very own special lady...Vivian Patriquen. She said it kept her occupied this summer with all that heat and humidity. It went to the cuddle quilt program.
This gorgeous quilt was also made by Vivian to go to our comfort quilt program . She is such an amazing person. Always happy , with a smile for everyone.
Judith is into miniatures. This one is outside the perimeters set down by the quilt show committee but it is still a wee quilt and most worthy.
But this one does fit in the miniature category....12 inches square is the maximum for our quilt show. Such tiny little pieces...instant insanity, wouldn't you say?
Renate is hiding behind this strippy quilt she made. She is giving it away but didn't tell us to whom.
Eleanor...a new member...I hate to say 'old' member but she rejoined after a long hiatus..here is the stunning quilt she made. Her daughter has been trying to claim it but Mom has held on...at least until later in the year...shhh....don't tell!
And here is a lovely wall hanging she did for September. Eleanor is recuperating from strokes and quilting has been her therapy and motivation....nice to see it works.
Mary found some squares in her stash and decided they should be put together in a quilt......not sure what else one could do with them so well.
Muriel changed her decor...see that red in the centre of her table topper...seems that DH (that's Dear/Darling Husband for you non bloggers) picked out an area rug that matches perfectly and Muriel is so proud of him...as she should be, most men don't even notice.
This is the Remembrance Fabric challenge that Cindy from Crafter's Vineyard presented to the members. Muriel made a runner and placemats to match.
Well, we are off to a great start this year....lots of summer work being shown. It's a quilt show year, so I will have lots of pictures of our show ..see you there!
